Teton Dam Marathon 2009
Leslie had wanted to sign-up and race the 5K Run.
Travis wanted to run the 10K
She asked if I wanted to too and thought it’d be fun to sign-up the whole Fam-Damily. . . so I did.
Sadie had a softball game and didn’t get to run with us.
We ran in honor of Jesse as he was serving a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Baltic/Lithuanian Mission.
He was proud of us but wondered why us Cooke’S became runners AFTER he left.
Sad thing is- we probably won’t do it again
even though we did have a great time!
So, I have to say, Brett and I trained for this race
ONE day.
We went to the high school and ran around the football track a couple times and called it good. Needless to say, We really should have taken it a LITTLE-BIT MORE SERIOUSLY!

The night before the race Craig tried to get out of it because he does have bad knees (as all Cooke's do) didn’t have running shoes, and really didn’t want to do it.
BUT I went and bought him two good knee braces and new shoes and begged him to run with us… so he did.
WE DiD IT!
